Required licenses

To charter a yacht without a skipper in Greece, at least one member of the crew must hold a recognised sailing licence or certificate accepted by the Greek Port Authorities. In addition, a second crew member should be declared as competent to assist with basic navigation and yacht handling.

If you are unsure whether your licence qualifies, simply send us a copy and our team will be happy to verify it before booking.

Security deposits

A refundable security deposit is required prior to embarkation.

The amount varies according to the yacht selected and is intended to cover any loss or damage not covered by insurance during the charter period. The deposit is typically blocked on a credit card at check-in and released after the yacht’s return, subject to inspection.

Optional deposit reduction or damage waiver schemes may be available for selected yachts.

Do I Need a Sailing Licence?

A valid sailing licence is required only for bareboat charters. At least one member of the crew must hold a recognised sailing qualification accepted by the Greek Port Authorities, and a second crew member should be capable of assisting with basic navigation and yacht handling.

Can I Hire a Skipper?

Yes. Professional skippers are available for skippered and all-inclusive charters.

What Is the Fuel Policy?

For most bareboat and skippered charters, the yacht is delivered with a full fuel tank and should be returned with the fuel replaced before check-out.

Fuel consumption is included in our Cabin Charter Experiences and may also be included within selected All-Inclusive Charter packages.

Please refer to your booking confirmation for the specific fuel policy applicable to your charter.

What Is the Security Deposit Policy?

A refundable security deposit is required for most bareboat charters and is payable prior to embarkation.

The deposit amount varies depending on the yacht and is held against accidental damage or losses not covered by insurance.

The deposit is released after the yacht is returned, inspected and cleared by our technical team.

Optional damage waiver or deposit reduction schemes may be available on selected yachts.
